Directory of Useful Links for Melanoma Skin Cancer

Postby UK MBB Administrator » Fri Nov 11, 2005 12:11 pm

Dear All,

We have been requested to provide a list of useful links to melanoma skin cancer websites.

An extensive directory of appropriate links to UK and worldwide melanoma skin cancer websites is given here http://www.themoleclinic.co.uk/links/links.htm.

Please notify us of other appropriate links that should be considered as an addition to this directory.

Best Wishes to All,
Euan

Useful Links - on the move

Postby UK MBB Administrator » Wed Aug 09, 2006 9:21 am

Hello to all,

Just to inform you that the old Links Directory page has now moved.

The MOLE Clinic services are now part of SCanSol - Skin Cancer Solutions http://www.scansol.com/the-mole-clinic.htm.

A new format for the Links Directory is currently being designed as we do realise the importance of providing access to this resource.

We will post a link to the new resource once it is operational.

Best wishes,
Euan

printing topics

Hi,

File>Print from your browser will print topics as print-formatted pages.

Hope that helps.

Can someone not provide a list of links here.

I dont see how a single site looking to get money based on peoples concerns is a link to sites which can help people.

Am I missing something ? Sorry if I am but thats what that link looks like.

I have been really concerned about my mum and have found very little help on the net, if it wasnt for the single reply I received on this forum I would still be in the dark.

Links Directory

Postby UK MBB Administrator » Wed Feb 28, 2007 1:55 pm

A new links directory is being looked into.

As you'll appreciate it takes time to setup, collect, collate and manage links.

Hopefully this should be provided in the near future.

Thanks for raising this issue - and good luck with your mum.

Kind regards,

In the meantime, you will probably find what you are looking for here:

I don't think so

That last link appears to be for a commercial website promoting "organic sunscreen" and other products with misinformation.

Main Cause

Postby Sunshine_75 » Fri Jul 31, 2009 6:34 am

Most of the people think that Sunshine is the main cause for the melanoma cancer, but I red one article in which is said that recently studies have stated that there is something else that can cause skin cancer. A report has stated that the number of moles on our skin is responsible to a great extent in the risk of getting melanoma - a serious type of skin cancer.[/url]

Sunshine can you substantiate the report to which you refer. Many people have more than the average number of moles, and personally I feel without a reference/link to this report it could be construed as fear mongering.
