UK Skin Cancer and Melanoma Patients

Hi there im new here and wondered if anyone could give me some advice, my daughter pointed out a brown patch above my eye that i have had for a couple of years and is increasing in size, there are no lumps in it but the edges are darker than the middle, i just thought it was a freckle just getting a bit bigger should i be worried about this and see a docter, would be really grateful for some advice. My dad died of cancer 6 years ago i dont know if that is relevant. Best wishes Nik.
