Superficial Spreading Melanoma

Postby aokandy » Sat Oct 17, 2009 7:49 pm

Hello this is my first post.
I've just been told I have a SSM 0.35mm on scale and I'm going to have more cut out of this mole in next couple of weeks, plus they are going to remove another mole.
I must have so many questions but just don't know what to ask. I don't even know how serious this is - I'd be so grateful if anyone could offer any advice.
Thank you

Hello aokandy, this link may give you some idea's of questions to ask.....
http://www.mymalignantmelanoma.com/
It was produced by a member of this forum to help all of us and is used greatly.

The thing about melanoma is not to jump too far ahead, it is a very serious cancer however if caught early enough the prognosis is very, very good - so dont go looking for too much or you'll scare yourself silly.

Can I ask you to repost in the section above the members polls - its called "General Info" and most members tend to look in there and not look anywhere else, tell us how you found your mole and what happened - talking about it oftens helps all of us to understand more, and its good to know your not alone in this; it is a very scary time when initially diagnosed.
Best wishes,
Ally.
